Admission Procedure
Admissions are made under Category A and Category B as per the prescribed norms.
Category B
Management Quota
The remaining 30% is left to the Management for admitting the students under NRI category with petite of excess fee for developing teaching and infrastructure facilities.
Minimum Qualification for Admission
B.Pharmacy
4 Years / 8 SemestersMinimum qualification for admission into First Year B.Pharm
Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (M.P.C) and or Biology (Bi.P.C) as optional subjects individually. Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.
Minimum qualification for admission into II B.Pharm lateral entry
A pass in Diploma in Pharmacy course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
Duration of the program
The course of study for B.Pharmacy shall extend over a period of eight semesters, four academic years, and six semesters, three academic years, for lateral entry students. The curricula and syllabi for the program shall be prescribed from time to time by JNTUA, Anantapuramu and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.
Admissions are made through two tier based system
- Entry through a Common test called EAPCET, Engineering and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test, conducted by AP State Council of Higher Education.
- Entry through Management quota.
M.Pharmacy
2 Years / 4 SemestersMinimum qualification for admission
A pass in B.Pharm degree examination of an Indian university established by law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55% of the maximum marks, aggregate of 4 years of B.Pharm.
State Pharmacy Council Registration
Every student, selected for admission to post graduate pharmacy program in any PCI approved institution should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.
Duration of the program
The program of study for M.Pharmacy shall extend over a period of four semesters, two academic years. The curricula and syllabi for the program shall be prescribed from time to time by JNTUA, Anantapuramu and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.
Admissions are made through three tier based system
- Entry through a Common Entrance Test called GPAT, Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test, conducted by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.
- Entry through a Common test called PGECET, Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test, conducted by AP State Council of Higher Education.
- Entry through Management quota.
